Chris and Stuart Broad

Chris Broad played 25 Tests as an opening batsman, between 1984 and 1989, scoring six centuries and 1,661 runs in total. Stuart Broad made his Test debut in 2007, and to date (February 2021) he has played 144 Tests and 121 ODIs. Stuart is primarily a seam bowler, but has scored 2,974 runs coming in at No. 8 or 9. His 169 against Pakistan in 2010 – when he and Jonathan Trott put on a world record 332 runs for the eighth wicket – was his only first class century to date, and the second highest score ever by a No. 9 in Tests. It also surpassed his father's best Test match score of 162.
